What makes this hand wood auger unique is that the handle is tapered down to a sharp point that will cut a perfect 1-inch diameter peg out of a branch. The wood auger bit is made of high carbon steel and is sharp right out of the box, designed to drill a 1-inch hole of the same diameter as the peg. Peel away the excess wood to reveal a perfect peg. 4. Pass another stick through the handle and drill out your hole. 5. Tap your pegged branch into the hole for a perfect joint without the use of paracord.
